Bamboo post and rail fences combine the design of both Eastern and Western landscape architecture. A post and rail fence is best installed parallel to a sidewalk. The eye is then unconsciously led down the length of the path， accentuating the span of road frontage and at the same time， the fence and the plantings fill up the space， giving the eye a rest from what otherwise would be an open expanse of a lawn.
